House damaged 2 miles E of Crossville, IL in 2017. This house was also hit by 1925 Tri-State Tornado.

Even though we're still in the final weeks of winter, this is the anniversary of two recent tornado outbreaks in the region.
Three years ago today, an EF-4 tornado ripped through Perryville, Missouri, where five homes were leveled just northwest of town. An EF-3 hit White County, which damaged or destroyed 35 structures from homes to farm buildings to mobile homes. One home 2 miles east of Crossville, which was severely damaged, was also hit by the Tri-State tornado back in 1925.

Tomorrow is the 8th anniversary of the Leap Day tornado in Saline and Gallatin Counties.

In Harrisburg...over 200 homes and about 25 businesses were destroyed or heavily damaged...including a strip mall destroyed on the east side of Highway 45. At least 10 homes or other buildings were leveled...with several home structures displaced from their foundations. Hundreds of large trees snapped or uprooted along with many power lines down.

In Ridgway...the tornado damaged about 140 homes and businesses causing one critical injury and about a dozen relatively minor injuries.
