The SIU men's basketball team is set to return to game action on Monday at Indiana State after what will amount to a 3-week layoff due to COVID-19.

When the SIU football season kicks off next month, season-ticket holders, students and player families will be able to attend the games at Saluki Stadium. 

Seating capacity for the four games will be limited to approximately 15 percent, based upon a plan approved by the campus Emergency Operations Center.

Safety measures will include socially-distanced, assigned seating. Tailgating will not be permitted, and fans will be required to wear a mask or facial covering inside the stadium.

The Missouri Valley Conference has postponed the SIU men's basketball series set for this weekend against Valparaiso.

The SIU men's basketball team will not play at Indiana State this weekend.

The two-game series Saturday and Sunday in Terre Haute will be rescheduled after positive COVID-19 test results were reported in the Saluki program.
