With more than 150 Illinois lawmakers meeting in a Springfield multi-purpose arena to enhance social distancing, some churches with large sanctuaries would like the same consideration.

Governor J-B Pritzker says his team is looking at all the ways for that to happen.
"Each one of the faiths have come forward, or at least a number of them have, to ask how could we do it safely and to put forward their ideas for getting it done. We're trying to work through all of those."

The Catholic church last week reached a deal with Pritzker to begin reopening its churches later this month.

Pritzker says all churches are encouraged to look at outdoor or drive-in services.
