Ste. Genevieve, MO Facility Rescues Tiger from Tiger King Park

One of the endangered big cats from the Tiger King Park in Oklahoma is now housed at Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.
Crown Ridge worked with several other accredited sanctuaries and the U.S. Department of Justice last week to carry out a large-scale rescue of 69 big cats removed from Jeff and Lauren Lowe’s facility due to “ongoing Endangered Species Act violations.”

The Lowe's became famous last year when the Tiger King Netflix series became a cultural phenomenon at the start of the pandemic.

The U.S. Justice Department filed a federal civil complaint against the Lowe's last November over their care of the animals.

The male tiger removed from Tiger King Park is currently under quarantine at Crown Ridge while being monitored and treated by the staff and veterinary team.
