COVID-19 is not stopping the Boy Scouts from supporting local food pantries. Steve Buhman with Pack 47 of the Boy Scouts says, instead of collecting those familiar blue bags from door steps, a safer way to get the food is planned.
"We are setting up drop off points and we are actually having some drive through collection points at various places in the county."
Those collection points open this Saturday, and to see the list, go to our website. Buhman said the change was made after it was decided it would not be a good idea to have the Boy Scouts walking up and down streets, going to houses, with COVID-19 so common.
Many food pantries depend on donations like these to help, especially during the holidays.

Nov 16th – 20th Food drop off at Home Town Tax, 202 South Capitol Street, Harrisburg
Nov. 21st Food drop off, 9 am to 1 pm at the United Methodist Church and Ministerial Alliance and the Manna Mission, both on Broadway in Johnson City.
