Interview with 15-Year-Old Author Millie Florence of Mt. Vernon

Millie Florence

A Mt. Vernon teenager is set to release her second novel.

Fifteen-year-old Millie Florence had her first book published when she was 13. The home-schooled teen says writing has been a big part of her life for as long as she can remember.
"Before I could even type on my own, I would dictate my stories aloud as my parents would type them down for me."
For the release of her latest work, a book of fantasy called  Lydia Green of Mulberry Glen, Florence is hosting a release party and book signing tomorrow (Tuesday). She says part of the fun of book signings is meeting aspiring writers.
"Because I really want to show them that their dreams aren't impossible. I'm just a kid. I'm not really much different from them. I can do it, why can't they?"

The release party will be held at King City Books in Mt. Vernon on Tuesday, April 9 from 5-6:30 p.m.

The book is also available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
