SIU Football will make its tenth post-season appearance in school history this weekend, as the team heads to South Dakota for Round One of the FCS Playoffs.
The Salukis last played the Coyotes in 2019, coming away with a 48-28 win at the DakotaDome.
SIU is ranked 21st in the nation going into Saturday's game, with a 7-4 record. South Dakota is ranked 17th, with the same record. The winner of Saturday's game will play North Dakota State on December 4.
With three straight winning seasons, SIU head football coach Nick Hill is moving up the career ranks for coaching victories in Carbondale.
Hill now has 30 wins as the head of the Saluki program, tied for sixth all-time in school history.
