Catalyst Bike Race Series Is Coming To Touch Of Nature
A new mountain bike race series is coming to Touch of Nature’s multi-use trail this fall.
SIU’s Touch of Nature opened their multi-use trail in May and this fall their hosting the Catalyst Bike Race series.
There'll be divisions for all ages and experience levels with races being one to three laps around an eight-mile loop.
Touch of Nature Director JD Tanner says all riders must wear a helmet and use a mountain bike because most other bikes can’t handle the course.
“Be prepared for single track trail riding it’s dirt surface trails and most of the trails are about 36 inches wide in most places, but could be a little bit wider or could be a little bit more narrow in some other places so be prepared for that singlet rack ride.”
The races will be held on August 28th, September 18th, and a weekend event starting on November 20th.
