Southern Illinois Healthcare is offering COVID-19 testing for SIU-Carbondale students, faculty and staff.
Those connected with the university can get tested on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the SIH testing location at 500 West Main in Carbondale, which is the former Regions Bank location next to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling the SIH COVID-19 hotline at 844-988-7800.

Test results should be known within 24 to 48 hours.

SIU Carbondale's COVID-19 case count jumped from six to 31 this week.

New totals from the university show 20 off-campus students, 9 on-campus students, and two faculty or staff members have tested positive for the coronavirus.
