This coming weekend's Community Cinema at the Carbondale Library features the Independent Lens documentary "The Homestretch."
The film focuses on the challenges homeless teens face with going to school and with other basic functions of daily life. The film will include a local discussion panel lead by Father Bob Flannery of St. Francis Xavier Church in Carbondale, Christy Emery of the Jackson-Perry Regional Office of Education and Mike Heath, Executive Director of Good Samaritan Ministries.
WSIU Radio's Jennifer Fuller talked with them about the issue.
This week's Community Cinema presentation of "The Homestretch" is Saturday at 11:00 am at the Carbondale Public Library.
