There were some minor injuries when a pickup truck rear-ended a Shawnee District 84 school bus Tuesday morning.
The school district issued a written statement that reported none of the students suffered severe injuries.
Two students were taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau as a precautionary measure and were released. Several other students were released to their parents. The remaining students were driven to school on a substitute bus.
The incident occurred around 7:10 a.m. on Grapevine Trail in McClure.
