The Illinois Emergency Management Agency reminds the public that March is severe weather preparedness month.
The Agency suggests that people have a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration All Hazards Weather Radio with battery backup.

Several agencies involved in early childhood development are offering several child screening events. On Friday March 15th, 2019 there will be a free screening for children up to age five at the Campbell Hill Community Center from 9:00AM to 12:00PM.
Or, on Friday March 29th, 2019 McElvain School in Murphysboro will hold a child screening between the hours of 8:30AM and 10:30AM, and again between 12 Noon and 2:00PM.These screenings are sponsored by: Archway, Child and Family Connections, Southern Region Early Childhood Programs, SIU Head Start, SIU School of Medicine and Tri-County Special Education.
