Woman Accused of Burglarizing Rescue Mission Store in Mt. Vernon

A woman is in police custody after being charged with burglarizing the Rescue Mission Store in Mt. Vernon.
Officers responded to the store on South 10th Street just after midnight and found someone forcibly entered the business. They began searching the area for the suspect and made contact with 26-year-old Shantell Williams. While speaking with Williams, she attempted to flee on foot. Officers were able to take her into custody after a short foot pursuit.

After further investigation, Williams was charged with Burglary and Resisting Arrest.
