Williamson County authorities are investigating a man's death that they're calling a homicide.
Sheriff's deputies received a 911 call around 2:00 Friday morning. The caller told police they'd found a man lying on the ground near a pickup truck in Hurst.
The man appeared to have been badly beaten, and was taken to Herrin Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives say they've identified people of interest in the case, and are interviewing them.
They're not releasing the victim's name, as police work to alert his family.
