On this edition of WSIU InFocus, we hear from some soil experts and a local farmer about the impact of the floodwaters in southern Illinois.

Collin Cain in a Union County resident and has been farming for 50 years near Ware Illinois.

Cain also owns and operates the Grassy Lake Hunting Club near Ware.

We will also hear from Dr. Amir Sadeghpour, Assistant Professor in Plant, Soil and Agricultural Systems at SIU Carbondale about how southern Illinois soils react to being submerged.
