The NWS Climate Prediction Center says the fall has a better chance of being warmer than average. But precipitation above normal is anticipated in the winter months.
"We know from past experience when we have a a La Nina, like they are expecting us to be in this fall and winter, we do have a chance for greater snow during those episodes," Angel said.
