A local Carbondale business is working to make a positive change in the community.
Vintage Soul donated more than $5,000 to the Carbondale Underground Network Thursday.
The non-profit business resells used furniture and gives half of its profits to the organization. The network then divides the money among other organizations that help the needy - both locally and globally.
Vintage Soul owner Justin Zurlinden says this fall's move-in was his busiest month since opening.
"We put on all the work over the summer doing all the pick ups and all the deliveries and being here at the shop for 18 hours a day, but then at the end of the month we get to just bless them with more than something they can do on their own."
The money raised is the equivalent to half of the Carbondale Underground Network's yearly budget.
