The missing 7-year-old girl from Carbondale has been found alive.

Carbondale Police say at around 1:45 this afternoon, Patrice Dotson was recovered by Carbondale City Employees involved in the search in the 1500 block of the North Marion Street extension in Carbondale. That's about two miles from where the young girl went missing around 6 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of West Cherry Street.

Patrice was reunited with her family and then transported to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale to verify her wellbeing. She was treated and released.

Carbondale Police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
