The Illinois Supreme Court has announced the appointment of a local attorney as a Resident Circuit Judge for Union County in the First Judicial Circuit.
Union County native Tim Denny is being appointed to fill the vacancy created by the election of Judge MarkBoie to the Fifth District Appellate Court in November.
The appointment takes effect on March 1 and will conclude on December 5, 2022, when the vacancy will be filled by the winner of the November 2022 general election.
Denny has worked in private practice for over 15 years, most recently as the owner of the Law Office of Tim Denny, LLC.
The First Judicial Circuit encompasses Alexander, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, and Williamson counties.
