A second Randolph County school district has decided to transition into remote only learning through the Thanksgiving holiday break.
Starting Thursday, Chester District 139 went to a virtual learning model due to staffing issues, the number of students and staff on quarantine and the increasing number of positive cases in its area. Students will return to school on Monday, November 30.
Sparta District 140 had previously announced its decision to not bring students back to school until November 30 because of the presence of COVID-19.
