Gateway Arch at Night.

In order to lessen the chances of fatal bird collisions, the National Park Service recently announced that during the night,  they are shutting off the lights at the famed Gateway Arch.

The National Park Service will turn the lights back on, once the peak migration period ends, on October 1st, 2018.

In this report we will learn about the mystery of bird migration, and why lights can often be fatal to birds.
