Three men from Kansas have been arrested in the shooting of Carbondale Police Officer Trey Harris.

Carbondale Police say late Sunday/early Monday, Kansas authorities arrested 22-year-old Alex Karcher, 22-year-old Xavier McCray and 24-year-old Xavier Lewis for conspiracy to commit capital murder.
All three were booked into the Saline County, Kansas, Jail with a one million-dollar bond.

Officer Harris was responding to gunshots being fired in northeast Carbondale on July 31st. During the pursuit, the 26-year-old was shot through the windshield of his patrol car. Harris has since been released from a St. Louis hospital.
