One death is being reported in Jefferson County as a result of Friday's severe weather.

Jefferson County Coroner Eddie Jo Marks says the victim was 60-year-old Pat Brown of Opdyke.   Marks says the tornado broke the straps holding down her double wide mobile home. The home blew across the road and broke into pieces. Marks says Brown was pronounced dead at the scene from head trauma.   Jefferson County authorities  says two others sustained minor injuries.

Funnel clouds were also reported in several areas. In Jackson County, brief tornado touchdowns were reported near the Southern Illinois Airport, along Truax and Trayer Roads in Elkville and just outside of Dowell. Storm damage is being reported in the DeSoto area as well.  In Perry County, a tornado reportedly touched down near Tamaroa as well as Iuka in Marion County.

In southeast Missouri, a funnel cloud was reported late Friday morning near the Proctor and Gamble plant in Fruitland in Cape Girardeau County and tennis ball sized hail was reported in Jackson, Missouri.
