Southern Illinois Healthcare is doing drive through testing for the Coronavirus, at three locations in southern Illinois.  The sites are located in Jackson, Williamson and Saline counties.

WSIU Radio recently talked with SIH Public Information Officer, Rosslind Rice who said the drive through testing is not for the general public, but for those who have a provider's referral through the COVID-19 hotline, which is  1-844-988-7800.

Patients will stay in their vehicles while SIH staff, wearing full protective gear, will perform nasal swabs on the patients.

Rice says results will be ready within four to seven days.
