SIU Police are investigating a sexual assault on the Carbondale campus.
In a notice to the campus community, the Department of Public Safety says the assault happened just around 1:00 Thursday morning in Schneider Hall, on the east side of campus.
Investigators say the victim and suspect are both SIUC students, and they are acquaintances.
The report was made to police just before 4:00 Thursday afternoon.
Police say anyone with information about the incident can call DPS at 453-3771.
