The romantic adventure comedy  The Secret Life of Walter Mitty  is a 21st century adaptation of James Thurber's 1939 short story.

Walter Metz is the chair of SIU Carbondale's Department of Cinema and Photography in the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts.
