Southern Illinois University's president is serving as the Carbondale campus chancellor again.
In a letter to the campus community, President Randy Dunn says he's serving on a temporary basis until a new chancellor can be named. Interim Chancellor Brad Colwell's contract expired on Friday, and the university has not announced its decision on the two finalists for the permanent position - Carlo Montemagno or Colwell.
In addition, Interim Provost Susan Ford retired as of June 30, so Associate Provosts Lizette Chevalier and David DiLalla are sharing those duties on an interim basis.
SIU's Board of Trustees meets next week in Springfield. An announcement regarding the SIUC Chancellor is expected by then, if not before.
