Traffic is noticeably busier in Carbondale and the SIU-C campus as students move in for the upcoming fall semester.
Mayor Mike Henry even helped with the move-in along with plenty of other volunteers.
There are plenty of activities to welcome back students.
For example, the campus lake is hosting a Light Up The Lake event Thursday from 7-10 pm.
Numerous events are scheduled for Friday, such as the Saluki Spirit Zone, New Student Convocation, a pep rally, Welcome Fest, and Fireworks show as well as a movie.
