The search for a new Director at SIU’s Paul Simon Public Policy Institute has narrowed to six finalists.
The list includes:
- James Coyle of Chapman University’s Center for Global Education
- Jeffrey Gedmin of Blue Star Strategies
- Stacy McDermott of the Center for State Policy and Leadership at the University of Illinois Springfield
- Christopher Mooney of UIS’s Department of Political Science
- Market News International’s John Shaw
- Current Institute Interim Director Jak Tichenor
The candidates will provide public presentations during their visits later this month, focusing on their work as well as plans for the Simon Institute.
The new director will replace David Yepsen, who retired from the Institute in 2016. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Simon Institute’s founding – back in 1997.
