It was a very happy scene Tuesday afternoon, just outside Carbondale Memorial Hospital, as family and friends of, formerly missing, seven year old Patrice Dotson was released from the hospital.

Her mother, Sencearae, said Patrice is very happy to be home.  Patrice was reported missing about 6:00PM Monday night, in the 600 Block of West Cherry street in Carbondale.

According to a news release from the City of Carbondale, dozens of law enforcement officers, along with City Employees and members of the public took part in the search for the girl, and she was found by Carbondale City Employees around 1:45 Tuesday afternoon in the 1500 Block of the North Marion Street Extension.

The news release says Patrice was reunited with her family and then transported to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, where she was treated and released.
