Public Invited to 12th Congressional District Debate
Second of Three Debates Scheduled for Thursday, September 20

Carbondale, Ill. – Illinois 12th District Democratic candidate William Enyart of Belleville, Republican candidate Jason Plummer of O'Fallon, and Green Party candidate Paula Bradshaw of Carbondale will debate the issues in the second of three scheduled debates.
The debate will take place on Thursday, September 20 at 7pm at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center, 208 S. Market Street, in Marion. The general public is invited to attend. General admission tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
WSIU-TV's Jak Tichenor will moderate the debate, with questioning from Gary Metro of the Southern Illinoisan, Jennifer Fuller of WSIU Public Radio, and Beth Hundsdorfer of the Belleville News-Democrat.
The 90-minute debate will air live on WSIU Public Radio – 91.9 FM, 90.3 FM, and88.9 FM – and will be recorded for broadcast on WSIU Public Television – WSIU-TV 8 and WUSI-TV 16 – on Friday, September 21 at 8pm. It also will be streamed live at thesouthern.com and bnd.com.
The debate is sponsored by WSIU Public Television, the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute, the Southern Illinoisan, and the Belleville News-Democrat.
The third and final debate of the series will be held at Lindenwood University in Belleville, Illinois on Wednesday, October 10 at 7pm.
