Dangerous winter weather caused some travel problems for the SIUs Men's Basketball Team this weekend.
The Salukis were on their way home from the game at Illinois State when the team bus got stuck in the snow just outside of Champaign. Players and some team staff were eventually taken to a church nearby for the night.
Tweets from players and staff during the hours–long ordeal illustrated frustration as they were told the interstate was shut down and tow trucks weren't able to get out.
The team eventually got a tow truck, and was able to get to a church in Tuscola. Emergency officials closed several stretches of interstate in central Illinois during the height of the storm Sunday.
