A Jefferson County man is accused of killing his brother.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says it arrested 36-year-old Matthew Sloan of rural Mt. Vernon on Wednesday.
He is accused of murdering his younger brother, 34-year-old David Sloan, of Mt. Vernon.
Deputies say they received a 911 call at around 5:45 Wednesday afternoon from rural Mt. Vernon. The call
came from a woman who said her husband had been shot by his brother.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Matthew Sloan.
