Harvey is about to make its way through this region.
The National Weather Service in Paducah's lead forecaster Chris Knowles says Harvey's impact will hit the hardest Thursday through much of Friday.
Rainfall totals will range from 5 to 6 inches across the southern Lakes and southern Pennyrile region of western Kentucky, to around 3 inches along and just south of the Ohio river, then sharply drawing down to perhaps as little as a half inch or less north of the Ohio River.
Knowles says winds will pick up, but probably not higher than 25 mph or so. There is a marginal risk of severe storms, especially in Kentucky.
