Governor Bruce Rauner has named two new people to the SIU Board of Trustees, and re-appointed a previous member.
Rauner appointed Federal Judge Phil Gilbert and Alton Attorney Amy Sholar to the Board, and re-appointed Joel Sambursky to the panel.
Sambursky has served previously, but his appointment was rescinded after Rauner took office.
Judge Don Lowery and long-time Trustee Marquita Wiley's terms ended last month.
SIU Trustees meet next month in Carbondale.
