Quinn to Sign Marriage Equality Act Nov 20th

State Lawmakers hand-deliver marriage equality legisiation to Gov. Pat Quinn on Wednesday

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn will sign marriage equality legislation later this month.

On November 20th Illinois will become the 15th state in the nation to embrace same-sex marriage.  The signing ceremony will take place at the University of Illinois Chicago Forum.   The Illinois House this week passed a bill that was approved earlier this year in the Senate. The law permits all couples in Illinois to receive the rights and protections of marriage.
