Illinois Governer JB Pritzker announced Tuesday the final round of COVID-19 response fund grants have been released.
Seven point five million dollars will soon be going to seven non-profits in the state, that work with populations hit especially hard.
"This final round of funding operated with an eye for the disproportionate burden that this virus has placed on the shoulders of communities of color. Both financially and physically."
The Governor said the fund has distributed over 30 million dollars around the state. The Illinois Covid Response Fund is an independent private organization.
