Rod Blagojevich greets supporters outside his Chicago home shortly before heading to prison in Colorado.

Media aboard Air Force One say President Donald Trump told them Thursday he is considering commuting former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's sentence.
Blagojevich received a 14-year prison sentence in 2011 after being found guilty on 17 of 20 counts in his corruption trial, which included trying to sell former President Barack Obama's U.S. Senate seat.

Blagojevich's wife, Patti, has been working to clear her husband's name for years.

Blagojevich has exhausted virtually all of his legal options. One of the last options would be to receive clemency from President Donald Trump.
