Perry County Crash Kills Pinckneyville Teen

police

A motorcycle crash on Route 13 in Perry County sent four people to the hospital - and one of them died.State Police say 19-year old John Bouchard of Pinckneyville was headed west on Route 13 Friday night near Azalea Road when his motorcycle collided with a car. Bouchard was thrown from the bike, and later died at the hospital.

Reconstructionists say the car was turning left onto Azalea Road, and Bouchard tried to pass another car that had slowed because of the first. They say he didn't see the car that was turning, and ran into the back of it, causing the crash.

The driver of the car, 44-year old Mattie Spears of Marion, was taken to the hospital, along with two of the three passengers in the car. Spears' car ran into a house as a result of the crash.

State Police say they're still looking into what happened.
