A Murphysboro woman is headed to prison after violating her probation for a 2017 shooting incident.
The Jackson County State's Attorney says 26-year-old Chelsea Jo Beasley shot at a neighbor's car in October 2017 while suffering from methamphetamine induced paranoia. She thought people were outside her bedroom window conspiring to kill her.
Beasley pleaded guilty last March to reckless discharge of a firearm and was sentenced to 30 months' probation. But, she failed to comply and in November was re-sentenced to 18 month in prison.
Beasley must also pay restitution for the damage to the vehicle.
