Murphysboro Mayor Will Stephens says he has decided not to run for the 115th District State House of Representative's seat.
On his Facebook page, Stephens says while he doesn't believe this is the right time to seek another office, he won't rule out running for State Representative, State Senate or U.S. Congress in the future.
The 115th district race will be open next year since GOP incumbent Terri Bryant has decided to run for the 58th District State Senate seat being vacated by Republican Paul Schimpf.
