The search continues for a missing SIU Law School student.

But officials at the law school say Philip Jobst is presumed dead. In fact, Dean Cynthia Fountaine says Jobst's mother has notified them the family is moving forward with a memorial service on Tuesday. The School of Law will honor him on March 20th.

Members of the Chester Fire Department, Chester Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff's Department and Chester Search and Rescue have been searching for Jobst since responding to the Mississippi River Bridge at Chester just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night. A car registered to him was found on the bridge that night.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Jobst is encouraged to contact the Chester Police Department at 618-826-5454.
