A Williamson County teenager was killed when an Amtrak train hit his vehicle in Jackson County.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department says the victim is 18-year-old Cody Robertson of Marion. The accident occurred just before noon Wednesday near the intersection of Route 51 and Helm Road, about two miles south of Desoto.

Deputies say Robertson's vehicle entered the crossing when it was hit by the southbound train.

No injuries have been reported from the train's crew or passengers.
