Marion To Host Colt Pony League World Series

For the last 47 years the Colt Pony League World Series has been  held in Lafayette, Indiana.  But starting in August, the World Series will be held in Marion.Pony Baseball's Steve Miller says his group was very impressed with Rent One Park, and he thinks it will be a great place for the 15 and 16 year old ball players to experience a major league atmosphere. 

Visit SI CEO Shannon Johnson says the economic impact of the 18 game tournament could hit one million dollars. 

The Colt Pony League World Series will take place August 3rd through 8th of 2018 and will see at least 18 games played at Rent One Park. 

In all, ten teams will be competing, including teams from Asia, Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean.
