Local Church and Bar Deal with COVID Exposure

Images

The Perry County Health Department is alerting anyone who has attended Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin within the past 2 weeks and is experiencing signs and/or symptoms of COVID-19 should contact their primary care physician for testing options.
The church's website says due to several cases of the virus among members of its congregation it has suspended services until Wednesday August 19. At that time, providing there are no additional cases, services  will again resume on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Meanwhile, a bar in Union County is temporarily closing after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19. Fuzzy's in Cobden is shutting down to ensure time for deep sanitizing and for the rest of the staff to get tested.
