Lions Club Serves Pancakes To Help Many Local Non-Profits.

This weekend, (Sat/Sun 9/28 and 9/29)  the area around Carbondale's Town Square Pavilion will be hard to miss, as the huge yellow and blue tent will be the site of the annual Lions Club Pancake Days.  The event raises funds to support  many local non-profits.   Lions Club President Anita Hutton says the pancake event helps the Club to give money to the Carbondale Women's Center, Gumdrops, Good Samaritan Ministries, the Carbondale I Can Read Program and others.

In addition to eating a full breakfast, Hutton adds another attraction is the industrial-size pancake machine, which the Lions Club bought in 1958.
