Juveniles Arrested for Break-In at Carbondale Business

Marquee

Carbondale Police arrested three juveniles early Friday morning for a break-in at a local business.

At 4:15 a.m., officers were alerted to a burglary in progress at the S.I. Gymnastics facility, at 742 East Main Street.
The owner reported he had been contacted by his alarm company after an alarm was activated, and responded to the business. That's when he saw several people inside the business, and contacted police.

Officers arrived as a vehicle was leaving the parking lot. The vehicle refused to stop and fled from officers before crashing in 1400 block of East Main Street. The driver and two passengers, all juvenile males from Randolph County, were arrested without incident.

They were charged with Commercial Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, Fleeing to Elude and were ordered to be detained at the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center.
