A Jackson Co Board Member to Run for Treasurer

Jackson County Board member Sharon Harris-Johnson will throw her hat in the race for Jackson County Treasurer.

Harris-Johnson, a Democrat from Murphysboro, is scheduled to officially kick off her campaign Tuesday at 4pm at the Jackson County Courthouse.  She currently serves on the County Board's finance committee and represents the County board on the Jackson County Health Department Board.

Harris-Johnson says she admires long-time Jackson County Treasurer Shirley Booker and thanks her for her years of service to the county.
