The Jackson County Sheriff's Department says its continuing to investigate the death of a rural Murphysboro man.
Deputies say late Saturday night they were called to an area outside of Murphysboro because 40-year-old Benjamin Arbeiter was pinned against the tongue of a trailer hauling an antique farm tractor.
Firefighters with the Murphysboro, Pomona and Somerset Township Departments used a tow truck to lift the tractor and remove Arbeiter, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
