Here's another sign floodwaters in the region are continuing to recede.
The Illinois Department of Transportation Tuesday re-opened Route 3 between Highway 151 and Chester.
That stretch of Route 3 closed about two months ago due to water over the road.
The Mississippi River at Chester measured just over 36 feet Tuesday morning, down about six inches from Monday morning. The river is expected to continue falling below 30 feet - or minor flood stage - by July 22.
